Chen Kuan Tai (陳觀泰) is a retired Hong Kong actor and martial artist born on June 26, 1945, in Guangdong, China. He began his acting career in the late 1960s and appeared in over 100 films. He is best known for his roles in Shaw Brothers Studio's martial arts films of the 1970s and 1980s, including "The Blood Brothers," "The Boxer from Shantung," and "Executioners from Shaolin." Chen Kuan Tai was known for his fierce on-screen presence, athletic abilities, and natural acting talent. He was awarded the Shaw Brothers "Golden Harvest" award in 1971 for his performance in "The Anonymous Heroes." After retiring from acting in the mid-1980s, he became a successful businessman, opening a chain of restaurants and launching a line of martial arts products.
